Dear Parents,
It seems Trenton is abloom and filled with new life. Spring is a rejuvenating time of new birth, not only in the Church but in the wonders of nature around us.
It is appropriate that we celebrate Mother's Day in early spring. Mothers symbolize beauty, love and life. Mothers come in all shapes and sizes, yet share a common bond. They are the ones who from the start love their children unconditionally. The daily sacrifices mothers make include forgoing stylish fashions, elegant meals and relaxing vacations. They often put their own personal lives on hold to raise their children. Mothers do for their own what they wouldn't do for themselves. Mothers do this out of love.
Mothers are members of a nationwide sorority. They can swap stories, share recipes for success or commiserate thru the difficult stages and experiences of their young. They have an uncanny way of always knowing when things aren't just right with their children and sometimes can even stand back and let them work it out for themselves. They have the power to make you stand up straight, remove your elbows from the table or lower your voice with just a look from across a crowded room. Mothers do this to let you know you are loved.
This month, we are celebrating my mother's 85th birthday. I am blessed to still have her in my life guiding, protecting and most important sharing her wisdom and love.
May we honor our mothers this Mother's Day and every day in how we live, who we are and how we love.
God bless,
Mrs. Reap
