Our curriculum is developed by the Diocese of Trenton and is aligned with New Jersey’s core curriculum content standards.
Religion: Students learn the Commandments and how to follow them living in today’s world.
Language Arts: Students have many opportunities to enhance their reading and writing skills. Students practice vocabulary, grammar, spelling and story elements.
Science: Science curriculum standards for fourth grade include Earth Science and the study of earthquakes, volcanoes, fossils, weather, oceans and space.
Mathematics: Students enhance their math skills by practicing two and three digit addition and subtraction, and are introduced to long division and two and three digit multiplication.
Social Studies: The core of fourth grade curriculum in Social Studies is the study of New Jersey and its history.
This is my third year teaching at TCPA and I am super excited to be back. I graduated from Kean University with a MFA specializing in Graphic Design. I worked in the corporate world for many years and continued my education at The College of Saint Elizabeth graduating with a teachers certification in Early Childhood Education.
I have a passion for teaching and I believe that students will get more interested and excited about learning when they are active and engaged. As an artist and graphic designer, I incorporate hands-on learning and collaboration in my teaching that allows them to think, talk and process the material with their peers.
I am truly excited about meeting all of you. Remember that each day is a great day to learn something new.
